Muusoctopus sp.

Almennt

Muusoctopus sp.

Deep water species, confined to the nothern part of the Icelandic waters, represented with several specimens, mostly small and immature specimens in the IINH collcetin (BIOICE samples). Larger and mature specimens of this species from the northern deep-water parts of the slopes of the Barents Sea and adjacent areas, in the collection of the senioir author. These specimens are under further investigation as they have some putative features that are not shared with other species of Muusoctopus.
